Wellness remedies

 

  • Apply sandalwood essential oil between eyebrows, on the throat and temples to balance emotions.
  • Pomegranate peels can be dried and powdered and consumed after lunch.

For gastritis:
  • Pazhaya saadam chinna vengayam, full butter yogurt.
  • Baking soda water
  • Acv, ginger garlic water after food
  • White pumpkin, sorakkai raw juice empty stomach in am.
For Diabetics:
  • 1 part vendhayam, 1 and half part jeera, 4 parts pepper, roast and powder.
  • Cut 2 nellikkai, soak in 1 lt water overnight and drink throughout the day.

  • Sesame seeds - good in selenium for thyroid, good fit migraine if roasted in iron pan and chewed well in empty stomach.
  • Lotus seeds, raagi, sunnambhu (rice grain size) good in calcium
Tea alternative:

  • 50 gm Jeera
  • 50 gm Omam
  • 50 gm Clove
  • 50 gm Sukku
  • 50 gm Pepper
  • 5 gm Cinnamon
  • 5 gm Cardamom
Roast all ingredients and grind. Take 1/2 tsp in hot water with panakarkandu.

For Pitta
  • 2 tbsp coriander seeds
  • 1 tbsp dry grapes - black with seeds
  • 6 cloves with skin
  • 1 lemon
  • 25gm ginger
  • Honey for taste (or panavellam)
Grind all ingredients except lemon together and filter. Let it sit for a while so that the white ginger sediment settles which should be discarded. Mix with lemon juice and honey and drink after heavy meals. 

Alternate method - Skip garlic, add cardamon, boil for 5 min and then drink.

Wash hair every day after massaging with sesame oil. Reduce pitta
